NEXTEL Wireless Phone Service & Repair FAQ

  1. Can I get a loaner phone while my phone is being fixed?
Nextel service facilities attempt to repair or replace your phone as quickly as possible. While some locations may provide loaner phones while yours is being repaired, this service is not typically available.

  2. I lost my phone and have Direct Protect. What should I do?
Contact a representative at 1-800-325-3315 for assistance. They will assist you with the steps needed to file an insurance claim for Direct Protect.

  3. What information will I need to provide for an insurance claim?
The information required will vary by type of claim. In certain instances, such as theft, a police report may be required to accompany the claim.

  4. What malfunctions aren't covered by my Monthly Service Plan?
Liquid damage or units demonstrating extreme physical damage may be considered damaged beyond repair and not covered under the Nextel Service Plan.
