NEXTEL Wireless Cellular Usage

Monitor the number of cell minutes you use each month. It's the ideal way to prevent overage charges and to manage your monthly costs. Here's how:

For most Nextel models:

  1. Press

  2. Use to scroll to Call Timers and press

  3. Select Phone Reset to view cellular minutes used

  4. Select Prvt/Grp Reset for Direct Connect® minutes

  5. To reset Call Timers, press under RESET

  6. Press under YES when the confirmation screen appears

For only i2000plus:
  1. Press

  2. Select under PROGRAM

  3. Type 13 to see cellular minutes used

  4. To reset Call Timers, follow steps 1 & 2 above. Then type 12 to reset to zero

Please Remember:
  1. In order to track usage on a monthly basis, you must manually reset these functions at the beginning of your billing period

  2. You can always review your cell minutes and manage your account online by registering your account on nextel.com

  3. Use Direct Connect® service whenever possible to avoid going over your monthly allotment of cell minutes.
